Exercise 1
Metal Type
Description
Together with your group, come up with a group name and set each of your names in metal type (reference video). The typeface is up to you but should be something larger than 24pt. The names do not have to all be the same typeface or size.

- Inking - Hand
- Paper - Letter (Provided)
- Print Area - Considered
- Color - 1
- Passes - 1
- Amount - 20 (per group)
Things to Keep in Mind
- Wash your hands after handling metal type
- The relationship of each name to the other names and where they exist on the page
- Think beyond your first idea
- Setting up takes more time than the actual printing
- Be clean and precise
